Alan H. Lauritsen Jr, 67, of Manchester, NJ, died suddenly on October 31, 2023. Born in Long Branch, NJ, he resided in Millstone Township for 40 years before moving to Manchester. He worked for Trans World Entertainment as a regional manager for FYE and Coconuts, then became Director of Store Operations and Communications for Bob’s Discount Furniture for 15 years before retiring in March.

Alan loved his family, especially his grandchildren, more than anything else in the world. He enjoyed gardening and collecting stamps & coins. He loved going to the beach and enjoyed many years visiting LBI. He is preceded in death by his father Alan Lauritsen Sr, his mother Margaret Lauritsen (Matthews), his brother Glenn Lauritsen, and his loving wife of 44 years, Gabriele Lauritsen. Surviving is his daughter Katharine (Matt), his son Matthew (Shannon) , his three grandchildren James, Thomas, and Sevyn, as well as his two brothers, Scott and Mark Lauritsen.

His Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, November 6th from 4-6pm at Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, located at 19 Lincoln Ave in Rutherford, NJ.
