Alice R., (nee Lever) 96, a long time resident of Rutherford passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. She was born in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada to Peter and Anastasia (nee Boudreau) in 1917.
Alice was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 227 and the Church of Saint Mary in Rutherford since 1952. She enjoyed playing Bingo, dancing and having tea with friends and family.
She especially loved being a homemaker for her family.
Alice is predeceased by her husband Francis X. Flynn (1970) and 14 siblings. She will be greatly missed by her children Margaret Flynn, Elizabeth Flynn-Kinard, John Flynn and his wife Kathleen and her 4 grandchildren, David, Nicole, Lauren, Devin, her sister Teasie LeBlanc and many loving family and friends.

Funeral Saturday 10:00am from the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home for 11:00am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford.
Family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Alice to the Church of Saint Mary in Rutherford would be appreciated.
