Amelia Diaz (nee Fernandez), 89, of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, formerly of Rutherford died peacefully on October 6, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Scottsdale, Arizona and lived most of her life in Rutherford.
Beloved wife of Oswald who predeceased her in 1986. Amelia was the devoted mother of Richard, Gary and Kenneth Diaz. She was the cherished grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Amelia belonged to The Church of St. Mary Parish for 40 years. She was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Elks Club and Little League. Family will receive friends Sunday 2-4pm and 7-9pm in the Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford, NJ. Funeral Mass Tuesday 9:30am Church of St. Mary, Rutherford. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
