Obituary for Brendan Michael Dolaghan

Brendan Dolaghan Treasured son of Mark and Colleen Dolaghan (Galladay) and beloved brother of Mark Patrick, Nolan and James passed away on December 3rd, 2020. At the time of his death, Brendan was employed by Vivint Solar of Matawan NJ and Kissimmee Fl.

Brendan is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends and his loving grandmother Gladys Dolaghan. He was the proud and loving uncle of Kaylee, Garrett, and Carson John.

Brendan was a gifted athlete, and all sports came naturally to him. On the playing field Brendan was a fierce competitor. He relished being in the most difficult situations at the biggest point of any game he played. Brendan wanted to be the player that teammates relied upon in pressure situations. Brendan was a 1000 point scored for the St. Mary of Rutherford CYO program and played varsity baseball and football at St. Peter’s Prep, Jersey City. In football he was all conference/all county his Senior year.

Most of all Brendan had a big heart and a good soul. His wonderful outgoing personality was contagious and would light up a room whenever he entered. Those who experienced his warmth and good nature will always cherish this memory of him.
Brendan is pre-deceased by his paternal grandfather John F. Dolaghan, his maternal grandparents Raymond and Lorraine Galladay as well as his uncle Raymond Galladay.

Family will receive friends Monday 2 to 7pm. In the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home 19 Lincoln Avenue Rutherford.
The funeral will be Tuesday departing the funeral home 9:30am followed by 10:00am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary 91 Home Ave. Rutherford.
Interment Holy Cross Cemetery No. Arlington.
