Guilliard Dorland Thomspon, 98, of Basking Ridge, NJ, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 9, 2023.  The son of the late Norman and Isabella Thompson, Guill grew up in Rutherford, NJ.

  He served in the Army Air Corp in the Pacific Theatre in WWII, which eventually led to a long career with American Airlines.  He was married to Elizabeth Gray Thompson and they raised 7 children in Hasbrouck Heights, before moving to Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge.  

He served his Lord in many ways over his years.

He is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth in 2006, his 5 sisters, his daughter Beth in 2014, 3 grandchildren, and his companion Nessie Irish in 2022.  He leaves behind 6 children: Sherrill (Terence Woodhouse), Kenneth, Dale (Judy), Deborah (John Ackerman), Keith (Alisa) and Glenn (Pam); 13 grandchildren and spouses; 22 great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

"A Memorial Service will be held July 1, 2023 at 11am at Valley Bible Chapel, 56 Pascack Rd, Township of Washington, NJ 07676.  Visitation and a light luncheon will follow the Service."
