Carol Kubicka, 76, of Jackson, formerly of Rutherford, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, after bravely battling cancer for over two years.  Carol was born on June 5th, 1946 to Daniel and Mildred Venditti.  She lived in Newark, NJ along with her loving older sister Annette Misukonis (predeceased 2022) and younger sister Deborah Tracy of Jackson.  In 1968, she married her husband Thomas Kubicka (predeceased 1987) and moved to Rutherford where they raised their children Nicole McQuillen and Thomas Kubicka, Jr. When Carol retired, she moved to Westlake in Jackson, NJ and enjoyed participating in many clubs and activities with family and friends.  She was a devout Catholic and proud to be Italian. Carol loved her children, grandchildren, family, friends and longtime partner, Wayne Catalano.  Carol was a huge animal lover. WAGs Animal Rescue is an organization that was very dear to her heart, along with St. Jude’s Research Hospital of which both she was very charitable to.

Carol was a loving mother with a big heart and will be deeply missed by her devoted children; Nicole McQuillen and her husband Ken, Thomas and his wife Angela, grandchildren; TJ, Juliana, Olivia, Kelly, sister Debbie & John Tracy, brother-in-law; John Kubicka & his girlfriend Liz Annino,longtime partner; Wayne Catalano, extended family, and her loving dog Finnigan.

Family will receive friends Tuesday 1/17/2023 from 4-8pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, Rutherford. Wednesday 9:30am from Funeral Home for 10:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford followed by Interment at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover.
