Cassandra Ann Browning, 68, of Rutherford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014.
Born to the late Peter and Bridie (nee Smith) Hussey in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland.
Cassandra lived in Rutherford for over 30 years. She was a graduate of Cornell University where she received a BSN degree. Cassandra was a Clinical Nurse for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC, NY for 37 years ; she was passionate and committed to her profession. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Rutherford and volunteered at St Catherine’s Church offering blood pressure screening. She loved to cook, read and travel with her friends. She was considered a great friend and mentor. Cassandra’s greatest passion was her two sons.
Cassandra will be deeply missed by her beloved sons, William Trevor and Jordan, her siblings, Brian Hussey and his wife Pamela, June Cline, Darina Coffey and her
husband William, and her beautiful grandson, Colby, grieving for her also are her uncle and aunt Dan and Evelyn O’Shea of Dublin, Ireland. She will be missed by her cousins, Barbara, David & Marian and many nieces & nephews.
She is predeceased by her brothers Karl (2000) and Alan (2001).

Funeral on Friday September 26th 9:30 from Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford for 10:30 Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford.
Interment: Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst, NJ

Family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday (September 25th) in the Funeral home from 5pm to 9pm.
