Obituary for Catherine P. Otto
Catherine P. Otto,86, of Rutherford passed away Monday 3/31/2020. Born in Jersey City to William Denzer & Catherine (nee Hitzfeld).
Catherine married the love of her life Roy and resided in Rutherford where together they raised their two children.
Catherine was a “class of 1951” graduate from Holy Name High School in Union City and then went on to graduate with the “class of 1953” from Katharine Gibbs School in New York City. After graduation she began her career with National Association of Manufactures in New York City where she remained from 1953 to 1960. Later, Catherine was an Executive Secretary from 1977 to 1993 for Panasonic Broadcast Company in Secaucus.
Catherine enjoyed playing Scrabble, reading the newspaper and books. The Yankees were her favorite team to watch, she also enjoyed listening to a wide range of music, including rock and country music. She was a devout Catholic and a devoted parishioner of the Church of Saint Mary in Rutherford. Family was most important to Catherine.
Catherine is predeceased by her husband Roy (2005). She is survived by her loving children, Catherine Marie Hoffman & husband Glenn & Roy William, her grandchild, Kevin Hoffman, and her niece Michele.
Private Burial.
A “Celebration of life” will be announced at a later date.
