Obituary for Charles "Dan" McColgan

Charles ,known as "Dan", of Middletown NJ formerly of Rutherford, passed away Tuesday, April 23rd. He was born in Jersey City to Charles Joseph and Margaret (nee Haggerty) McColgan.
Dan graduated from St. Aloysius HS in Jersey City. He was a steamfitter for 40 years and a member of local # 274 in New Jersey. He retired in 1990. Dan lived in Rutherford until 2011 before moving to Middletown. He was an active member The Church of Saint Mary in Rutherford.
Dan is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (nee Brown) 9/2010 of 52 years. He is survived by his children; Mark McColgan and his wife Catherine (nee Rile)of Sea Bright NJ, Ellyn McColgan of NYC, his daughter- in- law, Mary McColgan. Charles is predeceased by his oldest son, Daniel, (1977).
He will be missed by his grandchildren: Mark Mc Colgan, Michael Mc Colgan and his wife Julie, Dennis Mc Colgan and his wife Heather and Rebecca Mc Colgan. His great grandchildren; Maya, Michael and Mark.
Funeral on Friday 9:30am from The Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in The Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford.
Family will receive friends Thursday April 25th, 3:00 to 6:00 pm
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, No. Arlington NJ
