Obituary for Charles Diaz

Charles Joseph Diaz of Bronxville, NY passed away Friday, June 11th, 2021 at the age of 64. He was born the son of Carlos Alberto Diaz and Carmen Socorro Nieves in New York where he remained a lifetime resident.
In his early years, Charlie (as everyone called him) proudly served overseas in the United States Marine Corps where he formed a deep love of travel. Having worked at the Federal Reserve Bank for over 30 years and retiring at 59, Charlie was able to pursue this love of travel and could not stay in one place too long. He was always on the go, especially to Puerto Rico where he enjoyed the vibrant island life. He loved going to the beach, was an avid dominoes player and music enthusiast. He loved listening and dancing to Latin music and regularly followed Latin bands. He also enjoyed sports, especially basketball and baseball. What drew people to Charlie most was his humor. Charlie was a fun personality and natural jokester. He loved making people laugh, whether with his delivery of jokes or the funny faces that would accompany them. Charlie's wonderful gift of creating laughter is what his family and friends will miss most about him.

Charles leaves behind his loving mother Carmen Diaz, his devoted children; Janine Diaz, Jasmine Diaz and husband Michael Strothers, Jerri Diaz, Angelique Diaz and his sisters Mildred Diaz and Diana Diaz.
