Claire O' Neill (nee McPherson), 82, life long resident of Rutherford, passed away Friday, February 7th, 2014. She was born in Jersey City to the late Russell J. & Anna (nee McNeill) McPherson in 1932.

She was both a member of the Church of Saint Mary and the Rosary Altar Society for many years and a member of the Rutherford Women’s Club
Claire was employed for 18 years as a Medical Receptionist for Dr. Katz in Jersey City.

Claire is predeceased by her husband Joseph J. O’Neill (2008). She will deeply missed by her children, Patricia and her husband Michael McGarry, Meggan O’Neill, her grandchildren Michael, Emily and Patrick, her brother Kenneth McPherson and his wife Sheila , her sister in-law Margaret Jelenewicz and numerous nieces and nephews and even more great nieces and great nephews.
She is predeceased by her son Joseph J. Jr. (1971), her siblings Russell McPherson Jr. (1986), Rita Young (2013) and Robert McPherson (2009).

Funeral Monday 9:30am from the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford followed by 10:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary , 91 Home Ave., Rutherford.

Family will receive Friends and loved ones Sunday 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm.
