Claire Ashby,85, of Rutherford passed away Monday August 23, 2021. Born in Jersey City to George Michael & Florence (nee Corrado).
Claire was an accountant for the law firm Winston & Strawn in New York City for 48 years retiring in 1999. She was a faithful conservative and a President Trump supporter. She was also a long time Bergen County Poll worker. Claire had a variety of interests as well artistic talent; she attended ceramic classes, made beautiful crocheted pieces. She was an avid reader, a lifelong Girl Scout and most of all a great grandma.
Claire will be deeply missed by her daughter Marylee & her husband Michael Bartolomeo, her grandsons; Michael Ashby & Mark Philip; siblings; Joan Dolder; cousins; Joan Gifas & husband Jim and their sons, John & Andrew; Nieces; Susan, Karen, Linda & their families; Claire is predeceased by her brothers; George Raymond, Donald & Lowell Thomas.
Family will receive friends Wednesday 9:00 to 11:00am in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Funeral Mass will be at 11:30am in the Church of Saint Mary. Interment Fairview Cemetery.
