Diane Russo (nee Costa) 57, of Rutherford, passed on September 7, 2009 in Hackensack Medical Ctr. She was born in Jersey City, April 8th, 1952 the daughter of Anthony and Antoinette Costa. Diane resided in Rutherford for 37 years. She was employed as a Kindergarten Teacher in Jersey City Public School System for 12 years; as well as teaching in Rutherford Public School and the Parkside Montessori School in Montclair, she was a giving, focused, generous Teacher for 20 years.
She dedicated her life to raising her children as well as teaching her students. That love and devotion was only second to that which she had for her cherished husband of 27 year's, Vincent. She enjoyed spending many summers with her family at the Jersey shore, as well as crafting, shopping on e-Bay and watching some of her favorite TV shows like Cash Cab and X-files. She was a member of the Rose O'Neill Kewpie Club of NJ.
She is survived by her loving husband Vincent, her children, Christian and Andrew. She is also survived by her sister Anita Costa, her parents Anthony Costa and the late Antoinette Costa (nee Ferraro) and her nephew Dillon.
Friends will be received on Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 at Collins-Calhoun FH, 19 Lincoln Ave., and Rutherford. Funeral Mass Friday 9:30 am St. Joseph's R.C. Church, East Rutherford, NJ.
