Donald T. Murphy., 80 of Rutherford passed away suddenly August 2, 2011.

Donald was born in Jersey City to James and Rita Murphy (nee Flanagan).

He was formerly employed by General Electric in North Bergen as a truck driver for over 20 years.


He served as the Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Carroll Council # 1378 for over 50 years.

Donald is survived by his loving wife Rose. His devoted children, Robert and his wife Debbie, James and partner Errol De Jager, Steven and his wife Toni, Rick and his wife Linda, Kelly and her husband Andrew Cox and Suzanne and her husband Kevin Breen.

Dearest brother to Dorothy Holm and Jeanne Murphy.

Cherished grandfather of Michael, Robyn, Samantha, Alyson, Christopher, Ryan, Nick, Kylie, Taylor, Aiden and Jayson.

Friends will be received on Thursday 7:00 - 9:00 and Friday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 –9:00pm at The Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford. Funeral Saturday 10:00am at St. Joseph Parish, 170 Hoboken Road, East Rutherford.
