Obituary for Edythe Ann Strom

Edythe Ann Strom, “Guma”(nee Adams), a lifetime resident of Rutherford passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021. Born in Passaic to Edward G. Adams and Helen (nee Eagelson) Adams in 1936. She was a graduate of Rutherford High School in 1954. A few years after graduation Edythe was married to her sweetheart Robert in the Woman’s Club of Rutherford. They remained happily married for over 64 years and had two wonderful daughters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Edythe enjoyed being a homemaker, she loved getting her family together and cooking for them ,she was a great cook too. She was also an avid reader. She was a longtime member of Grace Episcopal Church, then St. John’s Lutheran Church. Over the years Edythe had many pets she adored; Lucky, Butchie, Randy, Mittens, Booty, Duke & Dutchess, Abbey and lastly Corky.

Edythe will be deeply missed by her daughters Carol Strom and Debbie Strom, her grandson Curtis Moore and wife Dallas, Brandon Moore and fiance’ Victoria and great-grandson Kane Moore. She is predeceased by her brother Edward Adams.

Family will receive friends Friday 9:00am to 11:00am at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. A Prayer Service will be offered at 11:00am.
