ZIMMERMANN
Ethel Zimmermann (nee Schmitt), 91 of Branchburg, formerly of Rutherford for 60 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10th at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. Ethel was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Joseph and Bertha (nee Wegner) Schmitt.
Ethel belonged to the Rutherford Congregational Church and was a member of the Old Guard and the Golden Age Club. She helped serve lunches to the elderly at the Kip Center in Rutherford.
Ethel is predeceased by her husband William H. (1991); she is survived by her children Elizabeth Eaton and her husband Richard, Catherine Leenig, Jane Brown and her husband Michael, her 6 grandchildren Ronald, Jeffrey and Eric Houghton, Christine and Daniel Leenig and Ryan King. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren Sydney, Kylee, Avery, Connor, Spencer and Tyler.
Friends will be received on Sunday 2-4 and 7-8 with Religious Services following at 8:00 pm by Rev. Gregory Rupwright at Collins-Calhoun FH, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford, NJ. Cremation will be Private.
