Eileen Rosa, 87 of Rutherford, passed away on January 29, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jersey City on March 14, 1923 to George and Catherine Rosa.
She was a graduate of Seton Hall University who later become the comptroller at Prudential Insurance Company in Newark.
Eileen was a world adventurer who enjoyed her many travels through Europe and the Middle East. She was also an avid reader and supporter of the Rutherford Free Public Library.
Eileen was a parishioner of the Church of St. Mary and a former CCD teacher.
She is survived by her loving brother Francis X. Rosa and his wife Margaret Butler and her cherished 20 nieces and nephews and many, many grand nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers George Rosa, Edmund Rosa and Raymond Rosa. Funeral on Saturday 9:00am with a 10:00am Mass of Christian Liturgy at Sacred Heart Church, 324 Ridge Rd, Lyndhurst. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, No. Arlington. Friends will be received on Friday 4:00-9:00pm in the Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave. Rutherford .
