Elizabeth "Betty" Raftery, 95, of East Rutherford, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2011. She was born in East Rutherford on October 23, 1915 to Matthew and Rose Raftery. She lived at 316 Laurel Place, East Rutherford, until she moved to Regent Care Center in Hackensack for health reasons a few years ago. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish, as well as a past member and officer of the Rosary Altar Society and CCD teacher for many years. She is survived by her loving cousins Richard and Janice Roberts, Sheila and James McCann. She is predeceased by her beloved brother Matthew (2007). Funeral on Monday 8:00am with a 9:00am Mass of Christian Liturgy at St Joseph Parish, East Rutherford. Interment: St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Friends will be received on Sunday 2-4pm at the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave.,Rutherford.
