Obituary for Eugenia (Jean) Bloomer (Ragaglia)
Eugenia Bloomer,(Jean) 91, of Montclair, formerly of Jersey City, North Bergen and Rutherford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.
She was born in Jersey City in 1923 to Harold and Anna Ragaglia.
She was employed by Cuny and Guerber in Jersey City as a Bookkeeper for 35 years and enjoyed working to the age of 80. She spent her leisure time by reading and by enjoying time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Eugenia is predeceased by her beloved husband Edward J. Bloomer, Sr. (1979). She will be deeply missed by her loving sons Edward J. Bloomer, Jr. and his wife Linda (nee Macaluso) of Hilton Head, S.C. and Thomas M. Bloomer and his wife Louise (nee Sasso) of Rutherford, her 5 beloved grandchildren; Keith (and wife Lynn), Gina (and husband Jon), Lisa (and husband Mark), Christopher, Nicholas and 6 beloved great-grandchildren; Katie, Phoebe, Jonathan, Charlotte, Jenna and Nolan.
She is also survived by her sister Doris (Ragaglia) Strodl of California and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Tuesday 8:30am from the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home,
19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford for 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford.
Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst
Family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm.
