GANNON
Evelyn Marion Riley Gannon, 71, of Rutherford, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, July 31 at St. Barnabas Medical Center. Evelyn was born in Bronx, NY to Edwin and Marion (nee Schiling) Riley. Evelyn graduated Hunter College in 1955 and went on to be a Teacher in Stuttgart Germany and Hamilton Bermuda for the US Armed Services. Then taught grade school in Bronx, NY and finally finished her teaching career in Jersey City, NJ at St. Aloysius.

She was a lecture of St. Mary's and Eucharistic minister.

She is survived by Robert Gannon and her children, Christopher R and his wife Barbara, Ms. Nancy Gannon, Peter M. and his wife Micaela, and Ms. Jeanne Gannon, and 5 grandchildren Dylan Beauchamp, Ryan and Hailey Gannon, Declan and Samantha. She is also survived by her sisters Marilyn McNamara and the late Patricia and her husband Patrick Clarke, and her brother the late Edwin Riley.
