Fred Droste also known as “Buddy”, age 91 left this world on August 28, 2013 to join his beloved wife Lorraine of 64 years. Fred who was a Rutherford resident for over 60 years was the cherished father of his son Robert Droste, his daughter Donna Droste and her longtime companion Robert Smeak . He is also survived by his sister of 94 years, Mildred Anselmi

He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He served in Germany and France where he was a POW before the end of the war. He remained active with the Boy Scouts for many years. After working at several locations in Hoboken NJ, he started a self employed business also in Hoboken, working until his retirement.

Funeral on Saturday gathering 9:30am for10:00am Prayer Service in Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Walters officiating.
Followed by Interment in Hillside Cemetery, 742 Rutherford Avenue, Lyndhurst NJ.

Family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 -9:00pm in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford NJ.
