Fred "Cat" "Iggy", 83, of Rutherford passed away April 14th, 2013. Fred was born in Passaic to Michael & Anna (nee Kivka) Kuter in 1929. He was proud to serve in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a Firefighter for over 30 years with the City of Passaic Fire Department as the Battalion Chief; he was also an Instructor and Drill Master for Firehouse Co., #1,2,3 and 6. Fred loved going to the beach especially to Seaside Heights, dining out and he loved his family and his puppy.
Fred is survived by the love of his life for 42 years, Florence Prinzi-Dureya; her daughter, Lisa Dureya, his two loving daughters,Valerie & her husband Nick Minervini and Laura & her husband Larry Ciuppa. He will be missed by his grandchildren Ross & Michael Ciuppa and Justin Luke Minervini.
Fred is predeceased by his 5 Siblings; Frank,Sophie, Stella, Judy & Helen

Funeral will be held on Wednesday April 17th assembling 9:45am for a Mass of Christian Liturgy at 10:00am in The Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford
Interment in St.Michael’s Cemetery 120 Saddle River Rd. South Hackensack.

**Upon Florence’s release from the hospital there will be another Funeral Service announcement.**
