Obituary for Gabriel Pierce Pannella
Gabriel Pierce Pannella, 29, of Rutherford, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, the eldest son of Gabe and Annette Pannella (nee Capalbo).
Gabriel grew up in Rutherford, graduating from Rutherford High School and attended William Paterson University and Bergen Community College. He was a Data Center Field Engineer for a computer engineering firm.
Gabriel was a very gentle, kind young man and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed weightlifting at Strong & Shapely with his brother and friends. He enjoyed creating music and attending shows specifically for dubstep and drum and bass. He had a passion for cars (particularly of the Volkswagen variety) and fashion (he had a flare for 80's tracksuits)
Gabriel is survived by his mother Annette Pannella and his father Gabe Pannella and his partner Michela, as well as his siblings Darien and Sophia. In addition, he is survived by his grandmother Janette, aunts Marjory and Anna, his uncle Elio, and all of his cousins, Marco, Stefenie, Christopher, Anthony, Victoria, and Nikolas.
Family will receive friends Monday 4-8pm at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford, New Jersey.
Final viewing Tuesday 9:30am at Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home followed by 10:30 am Funeral Mass at the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford, New Jersey.
Thereafter Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, New Jersey.
