Gerald Richard Nuzzo, 67, of Lyndhurst, passed away at home on May 1, 2011.
Gerald was born in Passaic to Lydia (nee Stock) and Angelo Nuzzo.
He was a Navy Veteran, Retired from the Bergen County Sheriff's Dept. as corrections officer, Member of the Rutherford Volunteer Fire Dept. Engine Co. # 2, Member of the Fraternal Order Police, NJ Lodge 46, PBA Local 134 and VFW Post 227, American Legion Post 109, Rutherford. He was and avid outdoorsman who enjoyed, golfing, shooting, fishing and jet skiing. Gerald is predeceased by his beloved wife Joanne (nee Iosco) in 1998 and devoted father to Laurie Nuzzo, dear brother to Philip Nuzzo and his wife Sherian, cherished uncle to nephews Brian and Richard. Loving master to mans best friend, BJ and Bullet Friends will be received on Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and Sunday 4 to 8pm in the Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave. Rutherford. Funeral Monday, departing 10:00am May 9, for a 10:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in St. Joseph Parish, East Rutherford. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington
