Geraldine Alice Kelly Breitweiser,
of Toms River, N.J. died suddenly on September 10, 2012 due to heart failure. While struggling with Alzheimerʼs , she recently moved to Victorian Gardens Nursing Home in Chatham, N.J.
Born on May 22, 1935 in Jersey City, N.J., Gerry was one of twelve children. At 22, she met and married her husband Frederick, also of Jersey City. They were married 54 years and raised their family of four in Rutherford, NJ. A devoted mother and wife, creating a happy and loving home was always Gerryʼs first priority.
Gerry also worked part time throughout her life. She found great satisfaction and success as a Realtor. She took joy in helping others find the perfect home. Much of her success grew as a result of her warm and genuine nature, as well as her love of the home.
After retirement in 1995, Gerry and Fred moved to Toms River, NJ where she became an active member of St. Justinʼs Church. A devout Catholic, Gerryʼs faith brought her solace and strength to reach out to those less fortunate. She could always be counted on to lend a helping hand wherever needed and often worked to support various parish fundraisers.
During the winter months Fred and Gerry lived at their condo in West Palm Beach, FL where they enjoyed time with friends. She loved to dance and could be found on the

dance floor whenever she heard Frank Sinatra or Perry Como. Her contagious smile and warm heart brought light and happiness to everyone around her.
Gerry is survived by her children, Fredrick (Rick) William Breitweiser Jr of East Rutherford, NJ Mary Elizabeth Breitweiser of Mountain Lakes, NJ and Christian (Chris) Wolfgang Breitweiser and his wife Lisa of Essex Fells, NJ., six grandchildren: Brooke, Noelle, Christian Jr., Caroline, Grace, and Ashley; as well as brothers; Robert Kelly, Thomas Kelly, Michael Kelly, Jack Kelly, William Kelly and sisters; Patricia Stirone , Helen Roberts, Marilyn Horath, and Kathleen Ardizone. Gerry was sadly predeceased by her second son, Ronald Michael Breitweiser of Middletown, NJ , in 2001.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford, N.J.
Funeral Mass will be held on Sat., Sept. 15, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford, N.J.
