Giuseppe La Franca, 82, long time resident of Rutherford, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
He was born in Palermo, Sicily to Paolo Francesco and Giuseppina (nee Tesauro) La Franca. He married his wife Caterina (nee Pitaressi) in Sicily. They remained there for 12 years before immigrating to the United States with their children to begin a new life. Upon arrival in 1972 they lived in Queens NY and then Rutherford where they resided for the last 33 years.

Giuseppe was a Truck Mechanic and was employed for over 20 years with Peerless Importers in Brooklyn NY, retiring in 2000. You could often find Giuseppe in his garden planting and taking special care of his vegetables and fruits which brought him enjoyment and satisfaction.. He would faithfully read the Italian newspaper, America Oggi.

Giuseppe will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 60 years, Caterina, his adoring children, Patricia DeCamillis and husband Tony, Paul and his wife Maria, grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Lauren and Dana, great-grandchildren, Lucas and Gianna

Funeral is private.
