Guy was a dedicated man and he took his music seriously!
He was team player and knew how to make a band good. He had the right idea when talking about tradition in music learning.
He was a bright man and he will be missed!!

Oh Guy. What are we going to do with not having you around. You have touched so many lives in your different ways. I remember all the great times that we had with your family and ours. The amazing times that were enjoyed by all, and especially the last few years when we would try and get together for Christmas and everybody was so busy, with their schedules. But we would finally come together. Unfortunately this past Christmas we were not able to, which I know that everyone regrets. You were a big part of our lives and everyone else that you have touched in the years that you have been around, which is not many at all. Rest in peace cuz. You deserve it. Let God run the show up there. I know that you will have an opinion for him, which is the way that it should be, but that it easy on him. He unfortunately is going to be busy with this awful deadly virus. Maybe since you are up there, you have some pull to get rid of it. Work your magic. RIP Guy. Your heartbroken cousin Ellen

Having closely worked alongside Guy and his brother Ray on the Civil Rights Commission, as well as the Annual Multicultural Festival, I can attest to Guy’s passion and commitment toward his promotion of inclusivity and social justice in our community. In the 5 years I knew him, Guy possessed a genuinely warm and friendly demeanor, and could easily engage in conversation with anyone. I recently saw Guy in mid-January, and fondly recall our lengthy conversation about music, which was a lifelong passion of his. My heart goes out to his brothers, Ray and Gary, and to all who knew Guy. A bright light has gone out in Rutherford. I never will forget his invaluable contributions to our Rutherford community, and his warmth, generosity, and humor. Rest in power and peace, Guy. My deepest condolences and prayers to the Tetro’s and friends. Sincerely, Liam Otero
