Obituary for Helen Ferrarese
Helen Ferrarese, 87, of Manahawkin, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, surrounded by her devoted family. She was born to Saide and Margaret (nee Castley) Eldeen in Brooklyn, NY. She lived on Staten Island for 25 years before settling in New Jersey.
Helen was as much a very loving daughter to her parents, as she was to her three children and her growing family. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was an excellent cook which her family enjoyed giving her great pleasure, along with friends who would visit her home; all were welcome. She was a volunteer for Deborah Heart Foundation. Helen was always very kind, smart and a wise woman and Mom. She leaves us sad but with warm and beautiful memories we will always cherish.
Helen is pre-deceased by her husband Lt. Col Charles J., of 52 years, (2012), and her siblings Fred Zain Eldeen, Marie Traficante and Rita Bianco. She will be forever missed by her devoted sons Christopher Ferrarese of Rutherford, Steven Ferrarese of California, daughter Charlene Priolo and her husband Daniel of Howell, grandchildren Michael Priolo, Brittany Scanlon and husband Bill, great-grandchild Kenzi, and cherished friends David Jackson and Jim O’Heir.
Family will receive friends Monday 5-9pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave. Rutherford. Funeral Tuesday 11:00am from Funeral Home for a 12 noon Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary's, Rutherford followed by Entombment at George Washington Park Mausoleum, 234 Paramus Rd., Paramus.
