Helen Rose Lewis (nee Ciepiela), passed away December 25, 2014 at the age of 94.
Helen was born in Nanticoke, PA to the late Adam Ciepiela and Rose (nee Czarnicka).
She lived most of her life in Rutherford with her dear late husband Frederick was passed away in 1997; they were married for 61 years. During those years she worked for Atlantic Services in Brooklyn, a Cutlery Manufacturing Company.
Helen and Fred have four children; Thomas G. Lewis and Audrey Ann O’Neill and is predeceased by her daughter Barbara Montone in 2010 and her son Frederick J. Lewis in 1992, and has enjoyed her 8 adored grandchildren, Wayne Vito Montone, Denise Sorin, Michael Lewis, Laurie Baber, Dawn O'Neill, Daniel O'Neill, Brenda King, Thomas Lewis and her beloved 17 great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her six siblings; Sr. Ernestine, Joseph, Lottie Meko, Stanley, Irene Dudeck and Ann Ciepiela.
Funeral will be held on Monday, gathering 8:30am in the Calhoun- Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue Rutherford, followed by 9:30 Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary 91 Home Ave., Rutherford.
Entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 4 to 8PM.
