Irene V. Hudak, 78, of Rutherford, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2011. Irene was born in Newark on April 11, 1932 to Thomas and Beatrice (nee Markey) Gannon. She was a resident of Rutherford for 50 years. Irene was a graduate of Good Counsel High School, Newark. She was employed with Blue Cross-Blue Shield, Newark and a member of the St. Mary's Parish. Irene is survived by her loving sisters Roslyn Matika, Dorothy Walek and her husband John, many cherished nieces, nephews, great and grand nieces and nephews. Irene is predeceased by her late siblings Alice Seramba, Helen Fitterer and Thomas Gannon. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 9:30am with a 10:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy at St Joseph Parish, East Rutherford. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Friends will be received on Friday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
