Jean Dawson Clark (nee Moore),89 of Lyndhurst passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 15, 2011.

Jean was born in Archibalds Close, Musselburgh, Scotland to Alexander and Mary Moore (nee Stewart).

Before retiring in 1986 Jean was employed for 10 years as Head Housekeeper at The Sheraton Hotel, Hasbrouck Heights.

Jean was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church of Rutherford. As an avid book reader, she belonged to the Library Club, weekly Scrabble Club and was known as great Gardner, most of all loved being surrounded by her family.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Richard F (2000). Dearest mother of Williamina Trovato, Sam Clark, Christina Bisson, Rachel Buonavolonta and the late John Clark (1993).

Cherished grandmother of Nina Cirilo, Richard Trovato, Jeannie Valvano, Philip Trovato, Krista Scott, Scott Regan, Jeremy Bisson, David Clark, Brett Baranyi, John Clark Jordan, Jamie Lyn Clark Jordan and the late Sam Clark, Jr.

Adored Great Grandmother of Christina Reyhan, Anthony Cirilo, Mattie Cirilo, Joseph Cirilo, Alexandria Trovato, Nicholas Trovato, Meghan Valvano, Anthony Valvano III, Brandon Valvano, Philip Trovato Jr, Julia Trovato and Jake Dawson Scott.


Family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue in Rutherford. Friends are asked to assemble for the Funeral Service on Saturday 10:00am at The First Presbyterian Church of Rutherford, One East Passaic Avenue (Corner of Park & Ridge).
Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Orient Way & Rt. 17, Lyndhurst.
