John Peter Ferraro P, 93, of Forked River New Jersey died on January 13, 2012.
Born April 30, 1919 in Brooklyn , NY , the son of the late Anna (Rado) and Gaspar M. Ferraro. He was married to the late Mary Rose (Ricciardone). Predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Peter, Nicolo, Anthony, Gasper and sisters Mary (Stio) and Margaret (D’Oriano). Survived by his sister, Anna M. and many, many nieces and nephews. John was a proud veteran of World War 11 from 1941-1946 serving with the 104th, Corps of Engineers through Africa, Sicily , Italy , returning stateside when he was wounded at the Battle of Monte Cassino. He retired from the Bergen County Sheriff’s office with the title of Chief.
The family will receive friends Sunday 7:00 to 9:00pm in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue , Rutherford NJ
