José Manuel Perez, born in Brooklyn, NY on April 29, 1964, passed away at home in Rutherford, NJ on Monday, December 23, 2013. José will be most remembered for his talent for photography, his love of Spain and his Galician ancestry, and his enjoyment of sports, among them soccer, football and target shooting. He was a loving son, brother and uncle, loyal friend and a man proud to have been a U.S. Marine.
He is survived by his parents, José Perez Perez and Rosa Parada Regueira; his sister, Rosa Kane and brother-in-law Edward; his nieces Lola, Lina and Nell; cousins, Lolita José Francisco, Pitusa, Rosa, Javier, Gerardo, Roberto, Jesus and Gabriel; and aunts and uncles, Manuel, Cipriana, Pepita, José Manuel, Emilia, Jesus and Josefa.
Relatives and friends are invited to Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford, N.J. on Friday, December 27, 2013 (visiting hours 2-4, 7-9) to share your stories. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the following charities: The American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org and The Arthritis Foundation at www.arthritis.org.
