Obituary for Joseph Hanzely
Joseph Hanzely, 89, formerly of Toms River for 30 years & of North Arlington, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
He was born in Hackensack to Joseph and Marion Pearl (nee Ridgeway) Hanzely in 1930.
Joseph was a proud veteran having served in the Marine Corps
.
When he married his wife Barbara later in life he was blessed with a wonderful extended family that gave him much happiness and joy. Joe and Barbara moved to North Arlington a year and 1/2 ago prior to living in Toms River.
Joseph was in Sales for Educational Reading Service and also owned a truck leasing company called Phoenix Leaseways in Paramus, NJ. He was a real “car guy” and could give you the specs on almost any old car, he also enjoyed watching wrestling with his grandson Stephen. He was a good listener and liked to talk to people and just be in the company of friends and family.
Joseph will be missed by his wife Barbara (nee Tucker) Hanzely, his daughter, Joy Caltagirone and husband Sam, stepsons Robert Way and wife Gail, Tim Way and wife Janet, Jeff Way and wife Debbie, his step-grandchildren Stephen Way, Gianna Way and Brian Way.
Funeral is private.
