Joseph, 70, of Pequannock , formerly of Wayne passed away suddenly after a brief illness. He was born in Paterson to the late Salvatore (1961) and Emma (nee Mazza) Mainenti(1981).
Joe was a graduate of Mechanics Institute of NYC and he served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.
He was a Drafting Engineer employed with John Royal of Paterson
for over 20 years and then Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission of Newark for 15 years before retiring.
Joe’s passion was researching the genealogy of his family heritage dated back to the 1800’s and hanging out at Diner’s.
Joe is survived by his partner of 15 years, Louise Marchese, his loving son Michael Mainenti & daughter Dana Mainenti and fiancée Jason Harris , his grandson Collin Wieder and his former wife Angie (nee Vitale) Mainenti.
He is also survived by Joseph Marchese, Jaclyn Marchese- Bertuna, Kaitlyn and Matthew Bertuna.
He will be deeply missed by his sister Gloria (nee Mainenti) Delle Chiaie, his brother Peter Mainenti & his wife Lucille and his many loving nieces, nephews.

Funeral Saturday April 20th 10:00am in Funeral Home for 11:00am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Avenue, Rutherford

Family will receive friends Friday 2:00 to 4:00pm & 7:00 to 9:00pm in The Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford
