Joseph Martin Curtin, 82, of Rutherford, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Monday, April 20, 2020.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA. where he remained for most of his life. As a young fellow, Joseph proudly served in the United States Army as the Executive Chef in the early to mid 60’s.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Philadelphia, he was a parishioner of Holy Innocents of Juniata section in Philly where he attended every single day and was very generous with various charities. He was a member of 55 Kip Center in Rutherford where he enjoyed the great lunches and the company of his friends. Affectionately referred to as Uncle Joe, he resided in Rutherford for the last few years with his Nephew Jim, his wife Susan and their children. He became an intricate and important part of their family. Along with the special and loving care they were lucky enough to share, the family felt it was they who received so much in their lives from having Uncle Joe with them. He will surely be missed.
