Obituary for Joseph Miroddi

Joseph Miroddi, 72 of Lyndhurst passed on Saturday May 8th, 2021. He is survived by his adoring wife of 45 years, Kathleen (nee Raabe), his loving daughters, Kara Kathleen Offreda and Kristin Lynn Miroddi, cherished grandchildren Alexandra Sophia and Andrew John, his brother Victor, sisters-in-law Dorothy Junker, Gloria Zahorian and her husband Dennis, along with many loving nieces, nephews and devoted friends and family.
Joseph is pre-deceased by his dear son-in-law John Offreda, his sister Josephine, and brother-in-law Leslie Junker.

Joseph was the loving son of Angelo and Rose Miroddi (nee Amorosia),he was raised in Lodi.
He worked for the East Rutherford Police Department for 24 years as a Special Policemen in the Municipal Court system and the Records Bureau. Prior to that, he held the position of Credit Account Manager for many diverse companies. As a 22-year resident of East Rutherford, he coached East Rutherford Girls Softball and the Saddle Brook Challenger League for special needs individuals.
Whenever encountering life’s challenges, his motto was “These are the vicissitudes of life” and he faced all obstacles with strength, grace and humor.
His time spent in Lords Valley, PA with family and friends was of great joy to him!

Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, May 16th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford
A Funeral Mass of Christian Liturgy will be held on Monday, May 17th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 120 Hoboken Rd., East Rutherford, followed by Interment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd., North Arlington.
