Obituary for Josephine H. Currie
Josephine H.Currie (nee Wilson) 94, in Hackensack, formerly of Rutherford for over 50 years, passed away February 1st, 2014. Born in 1919 to James and Frances (nee
McClear) Wilson in Jersey City.
She was a member of Life Long Fitness for many years but her growing family was most important to her and what she enjoyed and cherished.
Josephine is predeceased by her husband Thomas J. (1968) and her son Thomas Joseph Jr. (1979). She will be deeply missed by her daughters Alice Currie, Patricia and her husband Roger Meredith, her beautiful grandchildren, Eileen Tredway, Michael Meredith, Patrick Meredith and her great grandchildren, Christopher, Samantha, Alexandra, Madison and Josephine’s beloved twin sister Alice Benz. She is predeceased by her sister Margery (nee Wilson) Scott. (1959)
Funeral Wednesday 8:30am in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford followed by 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford.
Private Cremation
Family will receive friends & loved ones Tuesday 4:00to 8:00pm.
Donations may be made to Villa Marie Clare Hospice, 12 W. Saddle River Rd., Saddle River, NJ 07458
