Obituary for Keri Ann Crescenzi

Keri Ann Crescenzi, mother, daughter, and sister was born in Passaic General Hospital on September 12, 1968. She grew up in Rutherford, New Jersey and graduated from Rutherford High School in 1986. She attended Bergen Community College and Jersey City State College, achieving a BS degree in Geology and Environmental science. Later she pursued and achieved her master’s degree from St. Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ.
Her #1 joy in life was her son, Bayley Corrigan who meant the world to her. She also loved teaching (at Rutherford HS, Passaic H.S. and Hasbrouck Heights HS), her students the sciences but her passion was Environmental Science. Her favorite place was Cape Cod, Massachusetts which she visited faithfully with Bayley every year.
Keri, along with friends began the Carlstadt Green Team which started a Farmer’s Market and a Community Garden in town.
She is survived by her son, Bayley John Corrigan, parents, Tanya Serafin Dobbs and Frank Crescenzi, stepfather, David Dobbs and her sister, Danielle Crescenzi Mulligan, brother-in-law, Brian Mulligan, godson and nephew Brian Mulligan, Jr., stepsister, Heather Dobbs Carroll, her husband Anthony and nephews Cole and Chase.
When she entered Heaven on December 16th she was reunited with her grandparents, Ann and John Crescenzi and Barbara and Donald Schmitt. May they welcome her with love and joy. A special thank you to her close friends, Krysia McBride Lambi, Carol Albinski Dykson, Nicole Walsh and David Capo for their generous assistance throughout Keri’s illness. We couldn’t have handled it without you.

Family will receive friends 4pm to 8pm, Tuesday, December 21st, in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Funeral Wednesday, all to meet 10:30am for Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford.
