Lillian (nee Cullen ), 78, died peacefully on December 28, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jersey City on January 2, 1932 to Walter and Elizabeth Cullen. Lillian is the beloved wife of Thomas "Danny" Powers and devoted mother of Daniel and his wife Judith, Eileen and her husband James and Patricia and her husband Douglas. Loving sister to four siblings, Irene Bell and the late Elizabeth, Cathy and Walter. She was the cherished grandmother of Reisetta, Katelyn, Amy, Meghan and Andrew. Lillian was a well -loved member of the American Legion Post 109 and a Parishioner at the Church of St. Mary Parish.
Lillian worked for the National Council Insurance Company for 10 years and retired in 1985. Family will receive friends Thursday 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7-9pm in the Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford, NJ. Funeral Mass Friday 9:30am Church of St. Mary, Rutherford.
