BROWN Lorraine Lewis Brown, Age 56, of Belleville, NJ passed away on Monday September 28, 2009 after a 6 month battle with Leukemia. She is survived by her loving husband Bob, her daughter Sarah Lewis, her mother Emma Merselis and her brother Garry Merselis of Vernon. She is also survived and loved by several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
Lorraine taught for over 25 years in the Rutherford School District. She was an Adjunct English professor at Montclair State University. Lorraine was an enthusiastic patron of the theater and produced many plays at Rutherford High School and the Harwich Junior Theater during the summers she spent in Harwich, Massachusetts on Cape Cod.
Friends will be received on Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford, NJ. Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday October 2, 2009 at 10:00 am. Cremation will be Private. www.collinscalhounfuneralhome.com
