Obituary for Louis Minigiello
Louis Minigiello ,88, of Rutherford passed away Tuesday December 28, 2021. Born in Jersey City to Pasquale Minigiello & Candida (nee Verdi).
Louis attended Lincoln High school in Jersey City. Louis met Marion (nee Salvato) and became high school sweethearts. He graduated in 1951. Two years later Louis proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1956 to 1961. Louis & Marion married in November 1955 as they just celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Louis had a 42-year career with Eagle Fuel Oil Company in Jersey City as the Service Manager. After retiring he spent 10 years as the President of the National Association Oil & Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM). While there he served as the representative for organizing trade shows for Service Managers. Louis was a member of the American Legion & Knights of Columbus in Lyndhurst. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed the game of poker.
Louis will be missed by his wife Marion; his children; Patricia Russell, Dina Petronio & husband Mark, John & wife Marybeth, Lisa Packen & husband Bobby, Christie Minigiello, his grandchildren; Nicole, Brian, Aria, Julian, Niko, Jesse & wife Gianna, Darla, Drew, Trey, Jake, Griffin, Sophie, his great granddaughter; Samantha. Louis is predeceased by his son Paul Minigiello; his brothers; Salvatore & Thomas, son-in-law; Gary Russell.
Family will receive friends Sunday 2:00 to 7:00pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Funeral Monday 8:30am from funeral home for 9:30 Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, No. Arlington.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Louis name to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 6060.
