Obituary for Louis J. Palughi Jr.
Louis J. Palughi, Jr., 92, of Redbank, passed away Thursday March 5th 2019.
He was the son of Louis J. Palughi,Sr. and Nettie (nee Gruccio) born in Jersey City.
Louis had a 40 year career as Union President and Service Representative with Local District 2326 UAW in Union, NJ before retiring in 1996. He was married to his sweetheart Barbara (nee Clark) for 59 years, who sadly passed away in 2008.
Louis was an avid golfer and fishermen. He enjoyed crabbing and spending time sun bathing on the beach. Most of all, he loved his growing family.
Louis will be deeply missed by his children Karen Kane and Husband Thomas, Anne Marie Gentile and husband Anthony, Lucille Trezoglou and husband Christopher, grandchildren; Christina Cole and husband Bryon, Jason Kane and wife Lara, Lisa Arillo and husband Steven, Louis Trezoglou, great-grandchildren; Caiden, Cameron, Thomas, Alsie, Sydney, Blake, Kane. His siblings Anthony and his wife Jane, James (Jimmy) his wife Sandy along with his sister in law Anna Palughi.
Family will receive friends Wednesday 4-8pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home,
19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
Funeral Thursday 8:30am from Funeral Home for 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford.
Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
