Obituary for Margaret Alma Scott
Margaret Alma "Peggy" Scott, 90, of Rutherford, passed away Tuesday July 13, 2020. She was born in North Arlington to parents Donald Gref Trutner and Margaret (nee Blaiklock) Trutner.
Margaret moved to Rutherford in 1941, marrying William R. Scott in 1949. She enjoyed being a homemaker, and her family and her faith were most important to her. Margaret was a parishioner of the First Presbyterian Church of Rutherford where she was also a Sunday School teacher. Margaret was an avid reader enjoying books about history, science and fiction. In previous years, she spent many afternoons at the 55 Kip Center with her friends.
Margaret is predeceased by her husband William (1987) and her sister Althea Gerard. She will be deeply missed by her children, Cynthia Margaret Scott, Jeffrey William Scott and husband Robert Duffy, Paul Andrew Scott and Margaret's cousin, Joyce Scott.
Funeral is private.
