Margaret R. Allen (nee Pizano) 98, of Rutherford, passed away on January 13, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Exeter, PA on August 8, 1912 to Joseph and Pasqualina Pizano.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Richard, Sr. (1993). Devoted mother to Richard Allen Jr., Esq and his wife Barbara. Cherished grandmother to Richard III and Clare.
Loving sister to Louis Pizano, Phillip Pizano, Joseph Pizano, Frank Pizano, John Pizano, Elizabeth Forte, Josephine Chiampi, Mary Granite and Jean Nastasi. Margaret was the proud owner of Peggy's Gift Shop, which was originally located in Nutley from 1974-1981 then moved to Rutherford 1981-1990. She also was an owner of Skyway Inc., a trucking company from 1942-1973. Margaret was a member of The Church of St. Mary, Rutherford
Funeral on Monday 8:30am with a 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of St. Mary, Rutherford. Interment: Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
Friends will be received on Saturday 7 to 9pm and Sunday 2 to 4pm and 7-9pm in the Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave. Rutherford .
