Obituary for Maria Barbara Moore
"Maria Barbara Moore, 59, of Clifton, passed away on Thursday, July 15, surrounded by her family.
Maria was born on August 22, 1961 to Josephine and Ludwig Sojka in Passaic, NJ. She graduated from Rutherford High School in 1979, and while the lessons she learned there were undoubtedly important, it was the people she met there that would make the biggest impact on her life. In 1977, Maria Sojka met Michael Moore, and the two were inseparable from that point on. Maria and Mike were married for almost 40 years and had four children, Nicole, Danielle, Michelle, and Michael.
When Maria had her children, she decided to dedicate her life to being an amazing, wonderful mother. Maria excelled at propping up the members of her family and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Through birthday parties and weddings, graduations and grandchildren, she made it her mission to fill her home with warmth and kindness. We will miss her greatly.
Maria leaves behind her mother, Josephine Sojka, her husband, Michael Moore, her children, Nicole Bowden and husband Michael, Dr. Danielle Moore, Michelle Valdes and husband Jonathan, Michael Moore, Jr., grandchildren Juliette Valdes, Josie Bowden, Madeline Valdes and Jonathan Valdes.
Family will receive friends for Memorial Visiting on Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 4:00pm - 8:00pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home in Rutherford, NJ. Private Memorial Service to follow for close family and invited friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial tributes be directed to Nicole Bowden to assist with medical expenses. Donations can be made via Venmo to: @Tribute-to-MariaMoore"
