Marie Loizzi, 61, of Carlstadt, formerly of Wood Ridge, passed away Thursday June 25, 2020. She was born in Jersey City to Nicholas Loizzi & Elizabeth (nee Shine).

Marie had attended Berkley College receiving an Associates Degree. During her career she was employed with Lenox Auto Body and Continental Cookies. She was also an administrative assistant for Electro Miniatures in Moonachie.
Marie was a loving, caring and exceptional woman who loved being surrounded by her family and friends who were her life. Her heart was so giving that through the years she “adopted” many children. In her spare time when she wasn’t doting over her grandson, she would often go to Broadway shows and travel to Florida to relax barefoot in the sand. Marie was extremely proud of her 4-year sobriety.

Marie will be greatly missed by her daughter, Melissa Huebig & partner Emilio Rivera, her grandson Jackson Rivera, her siblings Susan Laurenzo & husband Ralph, Nancy Vai & husband Joseph, Rick Loizzi & wife Vivian, Nicholas Jr. & wife Kim, Michael Loizzi & partner Matthew Gertzog, Lisa Loizzi & husband Mike Latorraca, sister-in-law Rose, 12 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Steven.

Family will receive friends for Memorial Visiting Sunday, 3:00pm to 6:00pm July 5, 2020.
Funeral Mass of Christian Liturgy will be offered Monday July 6, 9:30am in St.Thomas the Apostle, 60 Byrd Ave., Bloomfield. Inurnment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.

In lieu of flowers, the Loizzi family would appreciate Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

A Special Someone
Someone special is missing today.
Someone your hearts hold on to as you travel along life's way.
Someone who made life special, for all who gather there.
Someone who won't be forgotten, but cherished from year to year.
And now as you pause to remember, may you all fondly recall.
How dearly each of you loved her, and she loved you all!!
In Loving Memory of Marie...may she R.I.P. Joanne
