Obituary for Mary T Haurus
Mary T. Haurus (nee Tomchuk), 98, of Maywood, formerly a long time resident of Rutherford, passed away on Sunday January 12, 2014.
She was born in 1915 to Wasil and Mary (nee Kivescink) Tomchuk in Jersey City.
Mary was a member of the Ukranian Orthodox Holy Ascension Cathedral in Clifton and enjoyed being involved with her Church. She also was a member of the Rutherford Kipp Center in Rutherford. Mary was an avid reader and loved to visit and also spend time in the Rutherford Library.
During her 10 years of employment she was a clerk for (FDU), Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford.
Mary is predeceased by her husband Paul Haurus (1970) and is survived by her son, Peter Paul Haurus and caring friends.
Funeral Mass held on Thursday 10:00am in Ukranian Orthodox Holy Ascension Cathedral, 635 Broad Street, Clifton NJ 07013.
Interment; Hillside Cemetery, 742 Rutherford Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071
Friends will be received on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30am in the Collins Calhoun Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
