Obituary for Mary Ann R. Sauerzopf
Maryann was born September 12, 1942 to Mary and Anton Sauerzopf.
She and her siblings, Sonny (Anthony), Fran (Francis Silkowski),
Roe (Rosemarie) and Joseph, grew up in their Bronx, NY Home.
After completing her bachelors in nursing, Maryann moved to New Jersey, eventually settling in Rutherford with her longtime friend Joan Dillon. She completed her MSN degree and enjoyed a long career with a specialty in Hospice care.
Maryann loved her beautiful small town life with many close friends and wonderful neighbors in her community. Her home was shared with many pets over the years. Dogs, cats, birds, whatever animal crossed her path. She loved watching and listening to the birds from her living room window.
She is survived by her sister and brother, Roe and Joe Sauerzopf, three nephews, two nieces and seven great nephews.
Memorial Mass Saturday 9:30am in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford.
