Obituary for Mary Sifonios (Logothetis)
Mary Sifonios ( nee Logothetis ) 61, of Rutherford , passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born to Anthony and Sophia (nee Pahountis) in Elizabeth , NJ .
She was a life long educator, teaching Math in Hoboken High School for over 20 years.
Mary belonged to many organizations such as the NJEA, NEA, St. George Philoptochos Ass. and Choir, OMONOIA Society of Aperitans, PTA and PTO.
Mary also was a Greek dance instructor, a Sunday School Teacher and was founding member of K.E.N.
Mary is survived by her Beloved husband Nickolaos, her adored children, Sophia and her husband Christopher Papson, Nikita and his wife Kelly, Anthony and his wife Anna, a brother James A. Logothetis, sisters Frances Alexiades and husband Alec, Joan Renee Alexiades and husband George. In-laws in Greece , Maria and Emmanuel Papadakis, Fotini and Stamatis Maurikos, and mother - in- law Sophia Sifonios.
Mary also leaves her beloved eight grandchildren, Maria Papson, Nikolaos N., Stavros and Maria Sifonios, Zoe, Nikolaos A., Themistoklis and Panayiotis Sifonios.
Family will receive friends Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm at Collins Calhoun Funeral Home 19 Lincoln Ave. Rutherford.
Funeral Tuesday 11:00am Service in St. George Greek Orthodox Church 818 Valley Road, Clifton .
Interment Hillside Cemetery Lyndhurst.
